Two different, but closely related things. With data integration, we primarily clean up digitally: We collect existing but scattered data sources and neatly merge them into a single platform. With retrofitting, we go one level deeper and make existing – often still analog – systems smart in the first place, for example by retrofitting them with our Rocket Node. In many projects, we combine both.
No – that is exactly the core of our retrofitting. We connect your existing sensors via existing interfaces or supplement them with our Rocket Node as an intelligent data logger. Your investments are preserved, we just make them smart.
You retain full control and don't have to cancel anyone. We integrate the data flows of your existing systems – regardless of the manufacturer – and bring them together in a single platform. Instead of switching between dozens of interfaces, you have everything in one place.
That depends on the requirements. In retrofitting, we work at the hardware level: We have already connected protocols like I2C, SPI, Modbus, CAN, RS232, and many more countless times with the openly designed Rocket Node . In data integration, we decide on a case-by-case basis – we have already connected databases, REST APIs, automatic file uploads and downloads (CSV, XLSX, etc.), as well as custom scripts to bring a wide variety of data sources into our intelligent platforms.
